Experience

I have now worked for over twenty-five years as a professional interpreter in Barcelona. And not just in Barcelona, but all over the world, wherever congress organisers require simultaneous, consecutive or ad-hoc translation.

I have worked in many different areas of specialisation, some of which you will find listed below. Every year new subjects emerge, something which never ceases to surprise and delight me. One of the things I most enjoy about my work is the preparation of the specific lexicons we need for each different field, and the ferreting out of adequate and sufficient documentation.

How I work

I work alone for very brief meetings or short interviews, or together with a full team of interpreters and other congress or event professionals, in all of whom I trust implicitly. Whatever the language combination. Wherever the event may be. I also organise teams of interpreters with and if necessary all of the sound equipment and technicians required for the simultaneous, consecutive or ad-hoc interpreting of all kinds of events.

Background

I studied translation and conference interpreting, specifically simultaneous, consecutive and ad-hoc interpreting (Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori di Roma)

And, out of my own personal interest I have also studied and still am engaged in other areas like graphic design (IDEP), applied philosophy and psychotherapy (EEPA), music, quiromassage (ITA), paragliding, kitesurf, cocktail mixing or salsa dancing.
