It is a true honour to interpret for celebrities, artists and experts. It is indeed thanks to them that I myself have gained a certain degree of notoriety, although it is the interpreter’s role never to be conspicuous in a meeting: he or she should be neutral and merely serve as a bridge for communication while at the same time being discreet and adhering strictly to the rules of confidentiality.
And from my very first day I have always enjoyed my job and, after 25 years in the profession I still continue to do so.
I would like to thank all those who have been kind enough to take the floor so I may translate them.
